Isopandat ovat leikkisi\u00e4 otuksia – mutta el\u00e4inpuistossa tarpeeksi kest\u00e4vien leikkiv\u00e4lineiden l\u00f6yt\u00e4minen ei olekaan ihan yksinkertaista. Kuulimme, ett\u00e4 \u00c4ht\u00e4rin el\u00e4inpuiston isopandojen, Lumin ja Pyryn, kynsiss\u00e4 hevosten kumipallotkin hajosivat hetkess\u00e4, joten siit\u00e4 se ajatus sitten l\u00e4hti \u2013 ja l\u00f6ysimme itsemme sorvaamasta luonnonmukaisia, v\u00e4h\u00e4n j\u00e4re\u00e4mpi\u00e4 lelupalloja karjalaisesta m\u00e4nnyst\u00e4. <\/p>\n

K\u00e4vimme viem\u00e4ss\u00e4 pallot \u00c4ht\u00e4riin huhtikuussa 2018, jolloin tytt\u00f6panda Lumi otti pallon heti haltuun. Sittemmin pallot ovat vilahdelleet aina silloin t\u00e4ll\u00f6in \u00c4ht\u00e4rin Pandalivess\u00e4<\/a> – ja Pyrykin innostui pallottelemaan aina MTV3:n uutiskevennyksess\u00e4<\/a> saakka \ud83d\ude00 <\/p>\n

Valmistimme m\u00e4ntypallot kiertotaloushengess\u00e4 ylij\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4puutavarasta, jota oli j\u00e4\u00e4nyt meid\u00e4n verstasrakennuksen laajennuksesta. Ihan alkujaan n\u00e4m\u00e4 ylisuuret tukit olivat poistotavaraa Stora Enson Uimaharjun sahalta, mist\u00e4 ne olisivat menneet poltettavaksi.<\/p>\n

Ilman aiempaa pandanleluvalmistuskokemusta pallon koko mietitytti hiukan, mutta lopullinen 40 cm halkaisija ja 12 kilon paino taisi olla aikalailla sopiva! Harvemmin tulee sorvattua n\u00e4in isoja kappaleita, ja ylip\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n t\u00e4ysin py\u00f6reiden muotojen toteuttaminen puusta on harvinaisempaa – eli t\u00e4ydellinen haaste meille. <\/p>\n

Pallot koostuvat toisiinsa tapitetuista m\u00e4ntykappaleista, jotka kasattiin kehiksi. Keh\u00e4t aseteltiin edelleen palloaihioksi, jonka sitten sorvasimme lopulliseen muotoonsa k\u00e4sivaralta. Lopuksi kiinnitimme kantok\u00f6ydet ja teimme keskelle rei\u00e4t herkkujen piilotusta varten. <\/p>\n

Pallotempaus sai melkoista huomiota niin Suomessa kuin maailmallakin, kun jopa miljoona ihmist\u00e4 kuuli t\u00e4st\u00e4. Seh\u00e4n t\u00e4ss\u00e4 onkin parasta: ett\u00e4 niin moni seurasi, miten pandat ottavat pallot vastaan ja olemmepa saaneet tilannep\u00e4ivityksi\u00e4 \u00c4ht\u00e4riss\u00e4 vierailleilta ihmisilt\u00e4, ett\u00e4 pallot ovat viel\u00e4 ehj\u00e4n\u00e4. Ja tietysti kaikista t\u00e4rkeimp\u00e4n\u00e4 se, ett\u00e4 vaikka \u00c4ht\u00e4riss\u00e4 pandoilla onkin kuninkaalliset oltavat, niin leluista oli iloa ja viihdykett\u00e4 \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n
